NBC introduces supernatural intrigue and family drama with "Witches of East End," a new drama series based on the novel by Melissa de la Cruz that blends magic, mystery, and romance in a modern setting. Set in the coastal town of East End, the series explores the secret lives of a seemingly ordinary family whose members possess powerful—and dangerous—supernatural abilities.
At the center of the story is Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond), a devoted mother who has spent years protecting her daughters from the truth about who they really are. Her daughters, Freya (Jenna Dewan) and Ingrid (Rachel Boston), live normal lives—until a shocking revelation changes everything. When their long-estranged aunt Wendy (Mädchen Amick) suddenly reappears, she forces Joanna to reveal a family secret that will transform the sisters’ understanding of themselves and the world around them.
As the Beauchamp women begin to uncover their magical heritage, they must confront the responsibilities and dangers that come with their powers. While Freya and Ingrid struggle to reconcile their ordinary lives with their newly discovered abilities, Joanna works to shield her family from forces that threaten them. Meanwhile, mysterious events in East End suggest that the Beauchamps’ past may be catching up with them in ways they never expected.
"Witches of East End" combines romance, suspense, and supernatural storytelling, weaving together themes of family loyalty, destiny, and the enduring bond between mothers and daughters. As secrets surface and magical forces intensify, the Beauchamp family must learn to embrace their powers while navigating the complications of love, trust, and identity.
"Witches of East End" is a production of Fox 21 Television Studios for Lifetime. Maggie Friedman serves as executive producer and showrunner, with Erwin Stoff and Deborah Kaplan also serving as executive producers.
