KEITH TURNER
Keith Turner was appointed president of Sales & Marketing for the NBC Television Network in September 1999. He has overall executive responsibility for all areas of NBC–TV Sales, including Primetime, Daytime, Late Night, All Night, Saturday Morning, News, MSNBC, PAX, Planning, Pricing, Sports, and the Olympics through the year 2008. In addition, Turner oversees the network’s Sales Development and Marketing Department, which is responsible for NBC Connect, NBC’s successful cross-media sales and marketing initiative.
Turner joined NBC in 1987 as an account executive for primetime network sales. He was promoted to vice president of NBC’s sports sales division in 1990 and became the head of that division in 1992. In October 1993, Turner was promoted to Senior Vice President, Olympic and Sports Sales.
Turner began his career in 1976 at Grey Advertising as a media planner. Among the accounts he handled at Grey were Warner Bros., American Motors and Canon. From 1980 to 1982, he was vice president and media director, responsible for network television buying at Grey. He was an account executive in CBS-TV’s Network Sports Division from 1982 to 1987.
Turner is a graduate of C.W. Post College, with a bachelor’s of science degree in business management. He lives in Huntington, New York, with his wife, Cathi, and their three daughters, Kelly, Meghan and Erin.
