John Adams moved from his native Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Los Angeles two and a half years ago to pursue stand up comedy but always knew he wanted to act. Six months after arriving, he had teamed up with a manager and a theatrical agent who sent him to acting classes and on auditions. “I fell in love with the craft. It’s such a part of who I am, the whole desire to bring yourself to a character and to be able to make people relate,” says John. Previously he had studied acting at Winston-Salem State University, where he performed as the Scarecrow in a stage production of “The Wiz,” and music at North Carolina School of the Arts. John has performed at some of the most prestigious comedy clubs in Los Angeles, including The Improv, The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory. He has appeared on the television shows “Pacific Blue,” “The Parenthood,” and “Java Haus.” He can be seen in the AT&T; 1-800 Collect and Carclub.com national television commercials. John currently resides in Los Angeles. His birthday is December 4.
